Some well known stars

British player Dan Evans stands out for us as challenger. He is ranked 55th in the world but recently was defeated in the French Open as he got knocked out by Tommy Robredo in the 1st round. He was uncomfortable with the heat at Roland Garros & will want this to be the right preparations going forward.

Ricardas Berankis & Dudi Sela of Israel will surely be there. These 2 have won the tournament previously in 2010 & 2011 respectively & will try to do the same this year. A few more names are Norbert Gombos, Marius Copil, Thomas Fabbiano, Go Soeda, Darian King, Luca Vanni, Illya Marchenko and the list continues.

Johanna Konta

She will surely be heading to Nottingham. Although ranked No. 7 in the world, she just suffered a shocking defeat in the 1st round at the French Open as No. 109 Su-Wei Hsieh beat her. Aged 26, she will look forward at the grass courts & forget the clay for now.

Heather Watson

She too will feature as lines up alongside her Fed Cup team mate in Konta. Heather had featured last year too & it helped her go on to win her 1st Grand Slam title at Wimbledon by winning the mixed-doubles alongside Henri Kontinen.

We also have Lucie Šafářová who is ranked 28th in the world. Furthermore names are Anastasija Sevastova, Yulia Putintseva, Lauren Davis, Alison Riske, Christina Mchale, Naomi Osaka.

Chance for Local talent to shine

Jocelyn Rae

He grew up in Arnold in Nottingham. Hence, it is special for her to perform in front of friends and family. Aged 26, she could end up lifting the trophy next Sunday if she performs well in front of home crowd.
