England Training intensity should increase between matches to find consistancy

The 4th test begins in Friday which means hardly 48 hours between 2 tests. It will take place at the Old Trafford hence preparations will start on Wednesday.

The 1St half of the series followed a similar pattern. England won the 1st Test at Lord’s with plenty to spare but when the 2nd match at Trent Bridge started 5 days later, they were off the pace. South Africa dominated the game & won by 340 runs. It was typical of England’s Test cricket since Trevor Bayliss was hired as coach 2 years ago: impressive in 1 game, poor in the next one.
