World Rugby U20 Championship 2017
England is all set for tilting title their way.
We now have 2 nail biting encounters coming our way. Right now any team is just 2 wins away from creating history at World Rugby U20 Championship.
The Defending champs England will face South Africa at the last 4 stage for the 2nd successive year while New Zealand lock horns with France in the 2nd semi-finals.
Harry Randall is the England & Gloucester scrum-half & he tasted victory in last year’s final & is hungry for more this year.
Randal said that this is a big game vs SA and we have to play our A game to win. We only want to win this competition right now. We have a new variety of players and is different every time, hope to get the trophy this year.
Post pool victories against Samoa, Wales & Australia, Randall will commence today’s clash against the Junior Boks on the bench. He has noticed England’s newcomers taking on the responsibility.
England captain Zach Mercer said his side driven more than just self belief ahead of their preparations for the semis against SA. England U20s’ Bayliss is targeting full honours.
Jones mentioned that Pumas win is “1 of the best” of the team efforts.
Randall spoke to us and said that there are lots of leaders in the team. All players are concentrating hard on how to win. Not just us experienced but the new youngsters also playing for the team with high confidence.
South Africa on the contrary will look to win the title for the 1st time since 2012. Their captain Ernst van Rhyn has been in good knick must encourage the players to forget the pool games and start fresh. They are glad that few things have worked for them. We have done our homework and hope to put it to good use here. We will play Bold and give it our best shot.
New Zealand team
They have been the team to beat in the competition, getting bonus point wins in each of their 3 pool games. The Baby Blacks would meet France, who has never ever reached the final, in the 2nd semifinal at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium.
Their best result in the tournament has been two 4th place finishes in the years 2011 and 2015. They were initially undefeated in 5 games but now look to avoid the 45-7 scoreline when these 2 sides had last met in the 2015 edition.
Luke Jacobson is NZ captain and knows the threat France can pose. He also said that NZ are very positive in the mind and will look to focus more on their game. We look forward for the finals.
